This will make it easier to identify genuine and counterfeit medicines and will be able to verify in a matter of seconds. The Ministry of Health has issued a notification regarding the new rules for imposing QR codes on APIs. Following the government’s decision to introduce QR codes in APIs, it will now be easier to identify genuine and bogus drugs. The QR code will contain complete information about that drug. It will contain the batch number, price and other important information of the drug. After scanning the QR code via mobile, customers will get complete information about the drug in a few seconds. All drug information contained in the QR code
Adding a QR code to the API will also make it easier to know where the raw material is supplied from, whether there have been any changes in the formulation of the drug, where the drug is being delivered. The active pharmaceutical ingredient or API is the most important ingredient in any medicine, tablet, capsule, or syrup. In fact, what we call medicine comes from APIs.
