Hot Stamping Foil

Shriram Veritech is India’s leading manufacturer of different types of Holographic transfer. The advantages of stamping foils are many – they are permanent, cannot be peeled off or transferred, and prove cost-effective for large-volume applications.

Hot Stamping Foil uses heat and pressure to apply metallic print and foil to materials such as plastics, paper, and cards.

It can produce a range of textures on the medium, including metallic, matte, glossy, and holographic.

According to Shriram Veritech Solutions, Stamping is distinct from pad printing or silk screening in that it does not use ink and is, therefore, unaffected by the color or texture of the medium. Therefore, it is suitable for printed items with dark-colored surfaces because it does not use ink and is, therefore, untouched by the color or texture of the medium.

Shriram Veritech Solutions uses Hot Stamping to create greeting cards, birth announcements, scratch-off foil, wedding invitation ideas, save-the-date cards, business cards, presentation folders, book covers, etc.

Hot Stamping is a specialized printing technique that uses heat, pressure, and metal foils to produce metallic-looking patterns, texts, and graphics in various colors and textures. Since moving images from a hot stamp to a chosen surface largely depend on heat, it is also known as hot Stamping.

Hot Stamping is also known as “dry stamping” or “dry foil stamping.” This is because the technique does not require any form of liquid ink for printing. The stamping method is instead done with dies and carved metallic discs.

Shriram Veritech Solutions is India’s leading producer of various forms of holographic transfers.

Hot Stamping has many benefits, including that it is permanent, cannot be peeled off or moved, and is cost-effective for high-volume applications.

Hot Stamping is a method of applying holographic transfer foils to different items, documents, or packaging materials using a combination of heat and pressure. These are used in several applications where anti-counterfeiting or anti-tampering is needed.

Hot Stamping is commonly used in various industries, including banking, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, tobacco, wine and liquor, etc. They’re also widely used in high-security applications, including cheques, stamp papers, banknotes, and other essential documents.

Shriram Veritech Solutions has created an innovative manufacturing process for the Chromium Based Hologram based on more than two decades of technical experience and cutting-edge technology (CBH). This fusion of holographic knowledge and high-security printing capability has resulted in a CBH that integrates all mandatory elements and, as a result, finds widespread acceptance – an important factor for vehicle-based applications.

Due to their special manufacturing process, Veritech’s Chromium-based holographic hot Stamping is resilient and tamper-resistant. As result, it is commonly used in high-security registration plates (HSRP) due to their reliability and longevity in outdoor conditions.

HRI Stamping is a transparent metalized material that can be used in holograms with high protection. HRI foils are metalized with Zinc Sulfide rather than aluminum, giving them a translucent look.

Compared to other holograms, these foils are diffusion-free and have a higher accuracy of holographic results, making them ideal for pharmaceutical packaging, bank papers, ID cards, and academic certificates.

Types of Stamping Foils

Hot Stamping Foils

Hot stamping foil is a process that uses a combination of heat and pressure to apply holographic transfer foils onto various products, documents, or packaging material. These are used in multiple applications that require anti-counterfeiting or anti-tampering functionality. Hot stamping foils are widely used in industries such as Banking, Pharma, F&B, Tobacco, Wine & Liquor, etc. They are also used extensively for high-security applications such as cheques, stamp papers, banknotes, and other secure documents.

Armed with more than two decades of technical experience and cutting-edge technology, Veritech has developed an advanced manufacturing process for the Chromium Based Hologram (CBH). This melding of expertise in holographic techniques and high-security printing capability has resulted in a CBH that incorporates all mandatory elements and hence finds acceptance nationwide – a critical factor for vehicle-based applications. In addition, Veritech’s Chromium-based holographic hot stamping foils are resilient and tamper-resistant owing to their unique manufacturing process. They are widely used in high-security registration plates (HSRP) owing to their durability and longevity in outdoor conditions.

High Refractive Index (HRI) Foils

HRI Hot Stamping Foil is a transparent metallized material which can be used in high-security transparent holograms. HRI foils are metallized with Zinc Sulfide instead of aluminium which imparts a transparent appearance to it. These foils are diffusion free and have a higher consistency of holographic effects as compared to other holograms, which make them very useful in applications such as pharmaceutical packaging, bank documents, ID cards, and academic certificates.

Holographic Cold Foils

This is an online transfer process wherein a UV-curable adhesive is printed onto the substrate as per the desired shape and design, after which the foil is applied onto the substrate and then stripped away, leaving only the area where the adhesive was applied. Since this process does not need a die to be made, production time is considerably reduced. In addition, cold stamping foil can also have special effects such as embossing, gradient, gloss/matte finish, etc.

Cold foil is a high-speed process whereby the foil is bonded to a spot of ink, so there is no need for a stamping die or heat.

Cold foil printing, also known as cold foil stamping, is a method of printing metallic foil onto a substrate to enhance the final product’s aesthetic. Cold foil printing can be done two ways: the older dry lamination process standard in the offset printing industry or the newer, more versatile wet lamination process, which is dominant in the packaging industry today.

What is Cold foil stamping?

Cold foiling is an online transfer process wherein a UV-curable adhesive is printed onto the substrate as per the desired shape and design, after which the foil is applied onto the substrate and then stripped away, leaving only the area where the adhesive was applied. Since this process does not need a die to be made, production time is considerably reduced. In addition, cold foiling can also have various special effects such as embossing, gradient, gloss/matte finish, etc.

Cold foiling is a high-speed process, and precise registration is ensured with Veritech’s world-class quality control systems. A wide variety of patterns and colors are possible with this process, and cold foils can be overprinted easily and are perfect for applications using heat-sensitive materials.

Advantages of coil foil stamping

• High Speed, the online process translates into quicker deliveries

• Available in a wide range of colors and finishes

• No dies required – reduced tooling time and costs

• High durability and aesthetic appeal

Demetallized Foils

Demetallization is widely used on currency notes, security documents, and many other confidential documents. These foils can also be seen in the Euro, owing to its high level of security against duplication. Demetallization means the metal part is removed from specific hologram areas to form various security patterns or design enhancements. Therefore, it is perceived as one of the highest levels of security in modern hologram technology.
